Winter weather throughout the Hoosier State has caused dozens of COVID-19 vaccination sites to close through Tuesday, with some closures occurring here locally.
Over 70 COVID-19 vaccine sites in Indiana are closed Tuesday due to inclement weather, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.
Several local vaccination sites are included in the statewide closures:
- Daviess County Health Department
- Dubois County Health Department
- Gibson County Health Department
- Pike County Health Department
- Ascension St. Vincent Evansville
- Deaconess Downtown Clinic (Evansville)
- Good Samaritan Hospital (Vincennes)
According to ISDH, Individuals who need to reschedule their appointments can click on the link in their last confirmation text message/email or call 211 if they need assistance.
The CDC says that as long as individuals receive their second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine within 42 days of receiving their first dose, they'll have full protection from the virus.

Indiana COVID-19 Update
The Indiana State Department of Health said Tuesday that 40 new COVID-19 deaths had been identified throughout the Hoosier State.
Only one of the new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Tuesday was confirmed locally, in Daviess County, where 92 total COVID-19 deaths are now confirmed.
According to ISDH, 11,805 total Indiana residents have now died from COVID-19 to date.
With 889 new positive cases of COVID-19 also identified throughout Indiana on Tuesday, ISDH said 650,530 total Hoosiers had now tested positive for the virus so far.
