TONIGHT: Clearing skies will continue to prevail along with a northerly wind flow. This combination will give way to temperatures plummeting into the lower-60s. Locations north of I-64 could wake up to upper-50s.

TOMORROW: Crystal blue skies and unseasonal cooler air will be gracing our Tri State communities as we wrap up the workweek. Highs will have a challenge approaching the 80-degree mark.

TOMORROW NIGHT: Skies will remain clear. The mercury will once again dip into the low-60s. Outline areas could even cool into the upper-50s by daybreak Saturday.

WEEKEND & NEXT WEEK: Throughout Saturday and Sunday we will remain rain-free. Afternoon highs will be on the rise starting Sunday afternoon. Independence Day will be seasonal with a high of 87° under sunny skies. All firework shows should remain unimpeded by the weather through Sunday evening and night. The summer-like heat and humidity returns by Monday afternoon, pop-up storms will be possible.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
