From 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce will host a free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Owensboro Convention Center.

The drive-thru clinic will be held in collaboration with the Green River District Health Department.

The health department will provide the option of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine or the two-dose Moderna vaccine.

Anyone who chooses to receive the Moderna vaccine will be contacted by the health department to schedule their second dose 28 days after receiving their first one.

Both vaccines are currently approved for anyone age 18-years-old and above.

No appointment is required and there is no cost, though individuals must bring a photo ID and health insurance card if they have insurance.

Organizers say free transportation is available via GRITS  but that it must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. You can call 270-686-1651 for more transportation information.

The Owensboro Convention Center is located at 501 West Second Street.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
