Driver Uninjured After Semi Fire on Highway 41 in Gibson County

The semi-truck fire happened on Highway 41 in Gibson County around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday.

A semi-truck driver was able to walk away from an early morning vehicle fire on Highway 41 with no injuries, according to Haubstadt Fire Territory (HFT).

Emergency crews were dispatched to the semi-truck fire around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. It happened on Highway 41 in Gibson County's Fort Branch, Indiana.

According to HFT, the driver of the burning semi-truck was able to walk away from the incident uninjured, and no other individuals were injured as a result.

The Fort Branch Fire Department, Owensville Montgomery Fire Protection District, Gibson County Sheriff's Office, and the Fort Branch Police Department also assisted in the incident.

No cause of the fire has been listed at this time.

Our winds will shift southward overnight tonight into early Wednesday morning and while it won’t necessarily drive temperatures higher for the predawn hours, It will help keep temperatures from falling much further than where they currently stand.
