We are almost there!!!
After a messy start to the morning we are going to dry out for our Thursday! Back tracking a bit, some of our southern communities woke up to excessive rainfall in their backyards this morning. Daviess County (KY) received nearly 4" within the 24 hour period. They were under a Flash Flood Warning for much of the morning - as were Hancock and Perry Counties.
Temperatures remained mild this morning in the low 70s. We will begin to warm up as our conditions dry out and we see some sunshine this afternoon. Highs are expected to top out in the mid 80s.
We may not be done with the rain just yet as tonight will bring about our next passing cold front. It is very slim that we'll see any rain from it but, this will not only clear the skies above the Tri-State, but usher a cooler, more comfortable air mass into the region, setting you up for an absolutely gorgeous holiday weekend ahead.
