Dubois County Reports 17 New Positive Cases of Coronavirus

Dubois County health officials are reporting 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 for Tuesday, Aug 4.

According to the Dubois County Health Department (DCHD), there were 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County as of Tuesday, Aug 4.

That brought the number of identified positive cases in the county to 643 total to date. The Indiana State Department of Health recorded Dubois County's first positive case of coronavirus on March 21.

Currently, 12 Dubois County residents have died from COVID-19, with the county's most recent death being recorded on July 30.

DCHD says 5027 residents of the county have been tested so far, showing a positivity rate in the county of 12.79%.

As of the state health department's most recent COVID-19 update on Monday, there were 68,433 total positive cases of coronavirus throughout the state of Indiana and 2,780 total coronavirus deaths.
