Dubois County Reports 9 New Positive COVID-19 Cases

Dubois County health officials have updated the county's COVID-19 numbers for Thursday, Aug. 27.

On Thursday, Aug. 27, there were nine new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Dubois County, Indiana.

According to the Dubois County Health Department, the new cases reported on Thursday brought the total number of county residents known to have contracted the novel coronavirus to date to 819.

DCHD says 679 Dubois County residents have recovered from the virus so far, showing a recovery rate of 82.9%.

So far, 6,479 total Dubois County residents have been tested for COVID-19 - and with 819 of those receiving a positive test result, a positivity rate of 12.64% is seen within the Indiana county.

17 total Union County residents have died from COVID-19 to date, with the county's last coronavirus death being reported on Monday, Aug. 24.
