Dubois County Sheriff Warns of Fake Spectrum Payment Scam

The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says it has received reports of someone falsely claiming to be with Spectrum and asking for gift card payments.

Residents in the Dubois County area should be on the lookout for scammers claiming to be with Spectrum, according to the sheriff's office.

The Dubois County Sheriff's Office warned of the scam on Wednesday after receiving several reports of individuals getting calls from someone claiming to be with Spectrum.

According to the sheriff's office, the scammers claiming to be with Spectrum have been calling locals and asking for payments with gift cards.

The sheriff's office says that this is a scam and shall be treated as much.
