On Monday, the Evansville Police Department announced the start of the 2021 Non-Motorist Grant.

EPD says that through the grant, which will begin on April 9, people should expect to see more officers on ATVs, horses, bicycles, and on foot in the parks and Greenway area.

The department hopes the grant will get officers out of their cars and increase their interaction with the public.

Officers will be patrolling the areas of the Greenway from the water treatment plant to the Stringtown Road entrance of the Greenway.
