The suspect in a multi-thousand dollar theft investigation led by the Evansville Police Department was identified on Tuesday.

EPD said Tuesday that the individual seen here was accused of stealing copper pipes that were 5 inches in diameter and 20-feet long from Tri-State Supply on May 2, 2021.

According to EPD, those copper pipes were valued at $6,426.

Since that incident occurred, EPD says an additional $5,000 worth of copper was stolen from Tri-State Supply sometime over the past weekend, and that the same suspect is believed to be responsible.

The police department identified the suspect within several hours of asking for the public's help in doing so.
