Evansville Police are investigating after they say a suspicious man approached two children Friday.

Authorities say it happened in the 800 Block of Lohoff Avenue.

EPD says a 13-year-old boy and his three-year-old brother were in the front yard when a car pulled up, calling for the child to come over to the vehicle.

Police say the teen quickly stopped his brother and the man inside the car asked the teen to shut his trunk. The older brother told the man it was closed, but the man repeated himself.

EPD says the teen took his younger brother inside and the car left the scene.

Police say a short time later, the reporter was outside and saw was she believed to be the same vehicle driving down the road and slowly kept staring at her.

The reporter was told to call back if the car returned.

The bitterly cold start to our Wednesday will inevitably lead to a cooler-than-average afternoon across the Tri-State. We're currently expecting an afternoon high of 26° in Evansville on Wednesday afternoon (that’s 17° below average for this time of the year). Temperatures will once again dive back down towards the teens for many of us overnight and into early Thursday. As for right now Thursday morning looks as though will be slightly warmer, but only just - believes model data indicates that we will see a morning low temperature of 14° under partly cloudy skies in Evansville tomorrow morning.
