Evansville Police say officers were called to a hit and run at the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and Powell Avenue Saturday.

Authorities say when they arrived, they located several vehicle parts lying in the roadway.

They were then flagged down by the driver of a white Chrysler 300.

EPD says the driver told them the vehicle was not hers, but her cousins. The woman told authorities she was traveling South on Kentucky Avenue. She told officers a red Hyundai was facing East at the intersection of Powell Avenue and Kentucky Avenue when the vehicle turned North on Kentucky Avenue.

Authorities say the woman told them the vehicle moved into the Southbound lane of Kentucky, forcing the Chrysler 300 to swerve into the left hand lane.

EPD says the right side of the Hyundai hit the right side of the Chrysler 300.

Police say the Hyundai continued to drive North on Kentucky Avenue and out of site.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
