The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library has extended its closure of all locations through Tuesday due to winter weather in the area.

The library branch's closure also means that the AARP sessions scheduled at EVPL for Tuesday are also canceled. Information regarding the rescheduling of the tax appointments can be found here.

All EVPL branches were also closed Monday, as winter weather blanketed the Tri-State area.

Originally, EVPL had planned to resume limited in-person services on Monday - but due to the branch's closures, that's been put on hold too.

With the possibility of more snowfall heading into Wednesday and Thursday, it's unclear as to whether or not EVPL's closure will be extended further.

While the closure continues, interested individuals can find a number of digital resources on the EVPL website.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day across the Tri-State; temperatures climbed back into the upper 40s low 50s area-wide earlier this afternoon. Evansville‘s afternoon high temperature of 49° was our warmest in nearly a week. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will be relatively stable as a breezy southerly wind continues to bolster the mercury throughout the region; temperatures around 42° at dinner time will only fall as low as 41° by midnight. An inbound cold front moving in overnight tonight and early tomorrow morning will begin to generate chances of rainfall as early as the predawn hours on Wednesday.
