"5,000,000 million square foot under roof, 40 schools, all summer we have had teams going through every school analyzing every space" says EVSC Chief Communications Officer Jason Woebkenberg.

Friday school administrators in Evansville showcased classrooms and learning spaces at Scott Elementary School.

A never before seen look inside at the new standard.

"We have been very fortunate that throughout the summer there was never a time of panic we have had a lot of time to prepare, and say what is going to work for my building because every building is different" says Principal Kimber Scarlett.

Desks have been arranged so students can practice social distancing.

The dots mark where the desk belong if a student were to move it. Some classrooms have hand washing stations.

Woebkenberg says "When students are in line they will spread out, to keep them at a safe distance a part they will wear masks while they are in line" he adds,

"Cafe have been set up to have students a part from one another all facing one direction".

Gym class will be a bit unconventional this year everyone will have their own square space to sit inside of.

During PE Each student will have a basket for their personal belongings or water bottles.

No more trips to the water-fountain iinstead schools are equipped with fill stations so children can bring bottles from home.

"People that are in charge of supervising recess, are going to lead activities and structure it different, get fresh air and stay at a safe distance" says Woekenberg.
