The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation answering a number of questions and concerns in a town-hall meeting on Facebook Monday night. Corporation officials hit on a number of issues concerning the new school year.

The main concern from parents was transparency in reporting positive cases. EVSC Superintendent Dr. David Smith said during the online forum, those who need to know about positive cases have been informed. Smith added the school corporation is working closely with the state and the Vanderburgh County Health Department in reporting that information.

"I would suggest that we are sharing the specifics on the number of cases related to Covid-19. We're certainly sharing that with the Vanderburgh County Health Department as well as the Indiana Department of Health. There are a lot of facets on that but I assure the public that those who need to know the positive cases, know about the positive cases," said Dr. Smith.

The Indiana State Department of Health could release those numbers from the EVSC as early as Thursday.
