Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation making changes to their spring semester schedule.

During Monday's board meeting, the district announced students will not be in class four additional days next year.

The adjusted dates include March 12, April 16 and 30th, and May 14th.

Those dates will now be considered virtual learning days, so teachers can plan for their courses.

They also stated, they are requesting a Flexibility Waiver from the State Board of Education to count instructional minutes instead of days, so they can have options for excessive snow days.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
