It's another snow day for Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation students on Thursday, Feb. 18, after district officials called off classes due to winter weather.
EVSC made the announcement on Facebook Wednesday, saying that the decision was made due to potentially-dangerous conditions created by icy secondary roads and sidewalks.
According to EVSC, a state-approved waiver day will be utilized for Thursday's cancellation, meaning students won't have to complete any virtual assignments, and no make-up days will be scheduled for a later date.
Current weather projections indicate the possibility of more snowfall for the area heading into Thursday.
