Winter weather continues to fall from the skies in our tri-state, and maintenance crews in Evansville continue to work to keep roads as safe as possible.

As a second round of winter weather rolls through, the Evansville Street Maintenance Department will continue to clear primary snow routes.

According to Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's office, crews have been working since 3:00 a.m. Monday morning. They will continue to rotate shifts. Additional drivers from other departments will be called in if needed.

White flags have been raised in the River City at C.K. Newsome Center. Those needing a warm, safe place to sleep can seek shelter at C.K. after 7 p.m. through Friday.
