Tickets for Ellis Park's 99th season of live horse racing are on sale now, and officials say the price has been set a $3 per person.

According to Ellis Park, general admission prices are set at $3 per adult (ages 13 and up). Children 12-years-old and younger will be granted free admission for the duration of the racing season.

Free general admission will also be given to all guests on each Friday of the season as part of Ellis Park’s “Free Fridays” promotion.

In addition to horse racing, Ellis Park says it will host live music every Saturday of the season and feature a variety of weekend events such as Military Appreciation Weekend, Teacher's Appreciation Weekend, and a men’s and women’s weekend.

“We’re looking to become an entertainment destination for the Tri-State community,” said Ellis Park General Manager Jeff Inman. “With things going back to somewhat normal, people will be looking for things to do. We want to show them that Ellis Park has more to it than just racing and gaming.”

Today's high temperature of 87° was our warmest in a week and a half - we last climbed that high on the afternoon of September 18th when we tipped the scales at 88°. The remainder of the evening will remain quite mild under clear skies; expect temperatures to first fall to 83° by dinnertime before dropping to 73° by 10PM. The clear skies and weak southerly wind flow will help keep temperatures relatively stable during the overnight and predawn hours - we'll wake up to a morning low of just 62° early Wednesday morning.
