Holy Rosary Parish celebrated 70 years of service with a festival Sunday.

There were food trucks and a special fried chicken dinner, several raffles, and activities for the whole family.

Church members were proud to be able to celebrate the beautiful history of the church.

"We have the wonderful community here and some awesome people, a lot of people that volunteered a lot of time and effort to make this event happen," said Christine Gilles, stewardship director. "It's a big celebration for us."

Families were able to enjoy cornhole, a photo booth, and some hula hoop fun.

Some lucky church-goers even got to go home with commemorative 70th anniversary t-shirts.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
