Over thirty masked children and church members handed out treats to drivers during a drive-thru style Nativity on Saturday night at the Methodist Temple UMC, located right by the University of Evansville on Lincoln Ave.
“The thing I celebrate most about this is it’s a safe way for us to continue to be a community,” said Pastor Andy Payton. “We’re doing virtual worship right now. So this is a way we can continue to do ministry in a safe way with the pandemic.”
The festivities lasted from 4 to 6 p.m. and included appearances from Mary, Joseph, Santa and even a sassy Rudolph.
