Three local churches joined together over the weekend to help local students as they prepare to head back to school.

Gethsemane Church, The Gathering Church, and Catalyst Church all partnered together for their "Hope 4 Back to School Supply Giveaway."

Local students who attended the event were able to pick up free school supplies, in addition to a free lunch.

"In this time with so much uncertainty and so much anxiety and everything going on in the world, it's just great to offer something that can make a little difference," said John Culbertson, Associate Pastor at Gethsemane Church.

Students who came the the "Hope 4 Back to School Supply Giveaway" on Saturday were also offered free haircuts from the Parlour Barbershop and Salon.
