Evansville Police say they stopped a man and woman Saturday on Weinbach Ave. when they noticed an expired license plate.

When officers searched the car of 32-year-old Kristopher Cannon and his passenger, 27-year-old Alisha Quertermous they say they found a host of drugs.

Court records indicate the vehicle started making several quick turns after police began following the car.

Officers say Cannon was unable to give them his driver’s license. Officials say Cannon was sweating profusely with shaky hands when he was searching for his ID and insurance card, police say both were expired.

Both Cannon and Quertermous were charged with eight counts of Dealing and Possession of Cocaine and Meth, Trafficking, and Paraphernalia.

Quertermous also had a warrant for her arrest.

Both suspects are being held at the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond awaiting a court appearance.
