The Evansville Hadi Shrine says it's holding an "Early Christmas Hadi Half Pot Raffle, and the total pot has now reached $32,200.

Hadi Shrine first announced the Half Pot earlier in November, where they set the pot at a base amount, guaranteeing that the winner would receive at least $12,750.

Tickets for the half pot can be purchased at any of these cash-only locations:

  • Eastside – the parking lot of Pat Coslett’s Simplicity Furniture Greenriver Rd/Voegel Rd
  • Northside – First Ave North Park lot between Burger King and 5/3 Bank
  • Westside – Corner of 11th and Franklin Street
  • Downtown – Hadi Shrine Circus Ticket Office at Walnut and Riverside

You can also call Hadi Shrine at 812-423-4285 to arrange for ticket purchase by Debit Card Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Tickets for this Half Pot are 1 for $10, 4 for $25, or 25 for $100.

As the pot grows, Hadi Shrine will post the updated jackpot number on its website and Facebook page.

Anyone who wants to participate must be 18-years-old to play, but the holder of the winning ticket doesn't need to be present at the Dec. 7 drawing to win.

With the cancelation of the 2020 Hadi Shrine Circus, which is the largest fundraising event for Evansville's Hadi Shrine, officials say the half pot will help make up for some of those lost funds.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
