No Injuries Reported After Evansville House Fire

An early morning house fire on Oakley Street remains under investigation by the Evansville Fire Department.

No injuries were reported after an early morning house fire in Evansville on Tuesday.

The Evansville Fire Department says firefighters were dispatched to a burning home on Oakley Street around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday after a neighbor and a passerby noticed smoke and fire coming from the house.

Fire crews responded to a home in the 1300 block of Oakley Street in Evansville early Tuesday morning

First-arriving crews made went inside the home and quickly extinguished the fire.

According to EFD, the fire originated in the kitchen area of the home.

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, but the cause remains under investigation.

A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
