EPD says that officers quickly arrived on the scene and that they could hear gunfire. As officers turned into the roller rink's parking lot, they saw a black car leaving at a high rate of speed.

Several people ran up to the officers and said that the gunshots came from the car that had just left. Officers turned around and pulled the vehicle over after catching up with it, according to EPD.

"Responding officers pulled over that vehicle, there were 3 occupants matching the description of the shooter was in that vehicle. So they were able to obtain the occupants," said Taylor Merris, EPD Officer. "they did find some marijuana in the vehicle. At that point, since the witnesses description of the offender matched he was placed in custody and transported to the jail."

According to EPD, a witness identified one of the individuals in the car, 24-year-old Jordan Outlaw, as the shooter.

While no gun was found on Outlaw or in the car he was riding in, EPD says that after the sun came up, officers found a gun about 0.2 miles from the scene of the shooting. They say it was found in the area where the black car that they pulled over was driving, and that it was on the same side of the road as Outlaw was sitting.

EPD also said that the gun they found matched shell casings that were found at the scene of the shooting.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but EPD said that a woman's window was shot out.

He was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of Criminal Recklessness With a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Mischief, and Possession of a Handgun Without a License.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
