Evansville Man Arrested on Battery Charges Involving Person With Down Syndrome

An Evansville man arrested after police say he assaulted a 23-year old with Down Syndrome.

According to EPD, the victim had visible injuries, including around the neck.

Police say they located Shawn Mason at his home on Alvord Lane.

He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Strangulation.

Mason is currently being held without bond.
