46-year-old James S. Snapp of Evansville, Indiana, was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Wednesday on charges of Rape, Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, and Confinement.
Police say the victim called them on Sept. 4 and was found with injuries to the face and body. The victim told officers that Snapp had committed the assault, and was treated at Deaconess Midtown for bone fractures and swelling around the eyes and mouth.
Snapp was located by police on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and taken into custody.
He told officers he had no memory of what had happened on Sept. 3 or Sept. 4, but police say he did admit to using meth.
Police also said that when they found him, Snapp's hand was extremely swollen and that he had some blood on his jeans.
