Evansville Man Convicted of Child Seduction Arrested on Child Molestation Charge

Jeremy Tudela, who pleaded guilty to multiple counts of Child Seduction back in 2020 after being accused of having sexual contact with one of his students at his Newburgh soccer academy, was arrested on Wednesday on the charge of Child Molestation.

A man who pleaded guilty to charges of child seduction back in 2020 was arrested on Wednesday on the preliminary charge of Child Molestation.

39-year-old Jeremy Tudela was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Wednesday afternoon on the Child Molestation charge. He was arrested after a young victim reported the abuse and was interviewed at Holly's House.

Tudela, who owned Tudela Soccer Academy in Newburgh, was previously arrested back in 2019 and charged with multiple counts of Child Seduction after being accused of having sexual contact with one of his soccer students who was under the age of 16.

In that case, Tudela pled guilty as charged and received a four-year sentence of one year in prison, two years on home detention with an electronic monitoring device, and one year probation.

Following his arrest on Wednesday, Tudela appeared in court for his initial hearing Thursday morning. 

The judge on the case recommended that he continue to be held in the county jail on no bond until his next hearing on Monday at 2:00 p.m.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
