Frontier League Baseball is returning to Evansville in mid-May.

The Evansville Otters released its 2022 regular-season schedule Monday.

The season will start at Bosse Field against the New Jersey Jackals on Friday, May 13th.

The Otters will play 51 games at home this season and 45 games on the road, starting with a nine-game homestand.

This season, the Frontier League will have 16 teams take part, including three new Canadian teams and a traveling team. Along with those additions does come a subtraction as the Southern Illinois Miners remain no longer part of the league.

The last home game this season will be on August 28th against Florence Y'alls.  They will wrap up the season on September 4th in Florence.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some higher amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
