Capitalizing on the popularity of CSI television programming, the Evansville Police Foundation will be presenting "CSI: Evansville, Past and Present."

EPD Detectives along with Evansville attorneys will present details of high-profile area criminal cases, update the status of the chosen cases, and explain how investigative resource and techniques evolve.

Organizers say the first case chose for the event is one of Evansville's oldest high-profile unsolved murders.

This is the first of a series of "CSI: Evansville Past and Present" case programs being presented bi-annually.

The event will take place Thursday, October 21st from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the CK Newsome Center EPD Board Room.

The cost to attend will be $25 per person (tax deductible donation to the Evansville Police Foundation).

During 2020, the Evansville Police Foundation provided nearly $100,000 to fund projects including crisis intervention, EPD medical unit, accident scene reconstruction, scholarships, and medical supplies.

Those interested in solving the case can email jdavies@epdfoundation.org to reserve a spot.

Temperatures were a heck of a lot more bearable earlier this afternoon - despite our northwesterly winds, temperatures peaked at 54° in Evansville earlier on and are expected to remain quite comfortable as we head into the evening hours. Expect temperatures ranging from 48° to 41° between 7 PM and 10 PM; though the added cloud cover over the coming hours will only allow temperatures to fall as low as 38° by early Wednesday morning. It's not all good news however, it looks as though some of us (especially those north of the Ohio River) could see periods of scattered rainfall throughout our Wednesday morning.
