Evansville Police Investigating Shooting On South Bedford Ave Thursday Night

Shooting left one injured and no arrests made.

Evansville Police continue to investigate a shooting Thursday night that injured one.

Around 7PM, officers arrived to the 1600 block of South Bedford Avenue where they found someone shot in the leg.

The victim said that they had taken out the trash and were struck by gunfire.  Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim's leg and an amublance took them to the hospital.  Victim is expected to surive from their injuries.

Investigators believe that the shots came from a backyard or alley close to the home.  No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting.

The Tri-State is about to witness a metric ton of change over the next 36 hours or so, but before we get to the meat of the forecast let's focus on the hearer and the now - after seeing an absolutely gorgeous start to the work week with afternoon highs nearing the 70° mark and little to no cloud cover, clear skies will linger through the evening ahead and into tomorrow morning as temperature gradually dwindle into the upper 30s and low 40s area-wide. We'll fall to 42° in Evansville setting the stage for yet another mild, albeit far less quiet Tuesday ahead.
