Evansville Police are actively searching for a man who may be connected with a shooting that took place late Sunday night.

Around 10:30pm, EPD arrived to a Shots Fired call in the 1100 block of West Louisiana Street.  EPD says that a woman was shot in front of a house.  She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, EPD started looking for a suspect.  Witnesses at the scene told EPD that 34-year-old Seth Wrinkles was involved.  Evansville Police are currently searching for Seth Wrinkles in connection with the shooting.

Wrinkles has been in trouble with the law multiple times.  In 2010, Wrinkles was accused of Attempted Murder, but the charge was dismissed.  In 2016, he was charged with shooting a firearm into a building.  While in Vanderburgh County Jail, Wrinkles was accused with others of being part of a riot.  He later pled guilty to rioting and other charges.

Wrinkles is also the son of Matthew Eric Wrinkles, the man convicted of three murders in 1994 and put to death in the Indiana Department of Corrections in 2009.

Today’s high temperatures in the mid to low 90s marked our hottest recorded in the Tri-State in at least 3 weeks. Worse yet, dew point values in the upper 60s made it feel oppressively hot earlier today - most of us reached the triple digits at times today. Believe it or not, temperatures are expected to get even hotter these next few days! After dipping back into the uppers 60s and low 70s during the predawn hours Tuesday, the mercury will skyrocket back into the mid to low 90s!
