Evansville Police Looking for Hit-and-Run Suspect

The Evansville Police Department is looking for the suspect/vehicle seen here after they say the driver of the vehicle was involved in a hit and run incident at Taco John's on the city's west side.

Police in Evansville are looking for a driver involved in a hit and run incident that happened in late-February on the city's west side.

According to the Evansville Police Department, officers responded to a hit and run at Taco John's on N. St. Joseph Avenue on Feb. 24 around 8:15 p.m.

When officers arrived, the victim said that while he was waiting in the drive-thru of the restaurant, he heard the vehicle behind him rev its engine and slam into the rear of his vehicle. The vehicle then sped off at a high rate of speed.

According to EPD, the pictures seen here are of the suspect and her vehicle.

Anyone who recognizes the person/vehicle seen here is asked to call EPD's Hit and Run Uit at 812-436-7941.

Our third day in a row with very mild temperatures. Highs across the Tri-State were in the low and middle 60's. A few showers at times crossed the area. A cold front will push through the Tri-State and will cause a few strong storms, that could have strong winds and even some torrential rain. Some flash flooding is a possibility. Strong winds overnight switching from the southwest to the northwest and may gust as high as 30 mph.
