Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle at W. Columbia St and 2nd Ave

Officers with the Evansville Police Department are currently on the scene of a crash in the 900 block of W. Columbia St. where a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

Police in Evansville are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near W. Columbia Street.  

According to officials, at least one person was hit by a silver Dodge passenger car in the 900 block of W. Columbia St. at N. 2nd Ave.

Multiple people were hospitalized as a result of the accident, but the extent of each individual's injuries is not known as of now.

A crash reconstructionist is currently at the scene, and one lane of W. Columbia St. is closed.

Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
