The Evansville Police Department said Monday that an arrest was made in connection to an attempted robbery at the Kwik Stop Liquor store located at 1201 N. First Ave.
26-year-old Jason Lee Hale was arrested on Monday and charged with Attempted Robbery in connection to the incident, a level 5 felony.
According to EPD, the robbery took place on Wednesday, Jan. 27, and the department had been seeking the suspect since then.
Monday, EPD released these photos of the suspect in hopes of identifying him, later making the connection to Hale.
EPD says that during the robbery on Jan. 27, the man had told the clerk that he had a weapon and wanted money, but that he left the store on foot before taking anything.
Despite their use of a K9 unit at the scene, officers were unable to locate the suspect until the arrest was made on Monday, Feb. 8.
