Evansville Police Seek Identity of Suspect in Theft Case

The Evansville Police Department is looking to identify a suspect in a theft investigation who was captured on camera at Alexander West Funeral Home.

Police in Evansville are asking for the public's help in identifying the person seen in these images.

According to a statement released by EPD on Tuesday, the video seen below is from Alexander West Funeral Home at 2100 W. Illinois St. and was taken on Jan. 1, 2021.

EPD says the male seen in the video is the suspect of a theft investigation. The item stolen was an 8-foot silver and black metal brake, a tool used for bending metal that bears a resemblance to a ladder.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information on the theft is asked to contact EPD's Detective Office at 812-436-4016 or contact the WeTip Line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
