The Evansville Police Department is looking for the man seen in these photos.

According to EPD, the man seen here attempted to rob the Kwik Stop Liquor store on the corner of First Avenue and Louisiana Street.

Officers responded to the store around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday after a holdup alarm was triggered.

Once they arrived, officers learned that the male suspect had told the clerk that he had a weapon and wanted money, but that he left the store on foot before taking anything.

EPD dispatched a K9 Unit to the scene in an attempt to track the man but says they were unable to locate him.

Police say the man was wearing a brown jacket, jeans, and what appeared to be green gym shoes at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information on the attempted robbery is asked to call EPD's Detective Office at 812-436-4025 or contact the WeTip Line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
