Evansville Police Seeking Person Of Interest In Death Investigation

A man dropped off a woman at a local hospital Tuesday morning. She passed away after cardiac arrest.

Evansville Police looking for a man in relation to a death investigation Tuesday morning.

According to Evansville Police, around 5AM, a man dropped off a woman to an emergency room at a local Evansville hospital.  The woman was unconscious on arrival and in cardiac arrest.

Emergency Room doctors performed CPR but, she was declared deceased.

The man told hospital staff he saw the woman walking and looked like she needed help.  He also told staff that he didn't know the victim.

The man left the hospital before officers arrived.  EPD is searching for the man driving a 1998-2002 Toyota Corolla that is either black or dark color with clear coat damage on the trunk.

EPD doesn't consider the man a suspect but only a person of interest.

Autopsy scheduled for the woman.  Her identity will be released once notification has taken place.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
