An Evansville woman is being charged in connection to a fatal hit-and-run that happened on Fulton Avenue about two weeks ago.
25-year-old Kelsey Ritter of Evansville, Indiana, was arrested and charged with Hit-and-Run Causing Death in connection to the fatal hit-and-run that took place on Aug. 8 in the area of N. Fulton Avenue.
The Evansville Police Department says Ritter was arrested on Monday evening after a felony warrant was issued for her arrest.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner had previously said that 63-year-old John D. Knight had died as a result of the incident after being struck by a vehicle and found lying in the road in critical condition, but until now, no arrest had been made in connection to the case.
Ritter remains booked in the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $10,000 bond. Her initial court hearing is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
