The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is here and they're kicking off the week with family day.

An event for people looking to avoid the big crowds throughout the week, family day featured rides catered to kids to enjoy ahead of the week, and Knox Schneider was one who enjoyed all of the rides they had to offer.

"The bumblebee ride, we've gone on the carousel, I've gotten on treasure island." said Schnieder.

Parents like, Melinda Mccandless, were just happy the Fall Festival has returned this year, after being canceled in 2020.

"I love it, just love watching his face. I love it." said Mccandless. "Oh I'm so happy they got it this year. "

Members of the West Side Nut Club served food and drinks to people, giving the community a preview of what's to come during the week, and many look forward to continuing the celebration on Monday.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
