Deaconess Clinic EXPRESS Owensboro is hosting a five-day Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine "blitz" that kicked off on Thursday.

The J&J vaccine will be distributed at  Deaconess Clinic EXPRESS Owensboro from Thursday, May 20, through Monday, May 24. The single-dose vaccine is approved for anyone age 18 or older.

Deaconess says the J&J vaccine will be distributed from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. during the blitz. Appointments are available during those times, but walk-ins are also being accepted.

Beginning Tuesday after the J&J blitz ends and continuing for the foreseeable future, Deaconess Clinic EXPRESS Owensboro will begin offering the two-dose Pfizer vaccine to anyone who's at least 12-years-old.

While there will be no out-of-pocket costs to patients who receive the vaccine, everyone's asked to bring insurance information when they get their shot.

Deaconess Clinic EXPRESS Owensboro can be visited at 2710 Heartland Crossing in Owensboro, Kentucky.

We're waking up to dry and cold conditions this Tuesday morning. As we head into the afternoon, temperatures won't rise much. Highs are only going to be in the mid to upper 30s. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries overnight. It won't be a big snow by any stretch, but you could see some flurries flying Tuesday night into Wednesday morning around the Tri-State. Don't expect more than a dusting, with greater chances falling north of I-64.
