Madisonville Police say several people have been shot early Sunday morning at a block party.
Officers say they responded to an assault call on Elm St at the intersection of Pride Ave, where there were reportedly around 100 people gathering and having a block party.
MPD says for unknown reasons, an individual or individuals began shooting a firearm. Authorities say five people were shot at the block party.
According to MPD, two of those people, a 43-year-old and a 14-year-old, have been life-flighted to an Evansville hospital for their injuries.
Police say the 43-year-old remains in serious condition.
Three other people who were shot were taken to Baptist Health Madisonville for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say detectives have been unable to locate any witnesses who can advise who was shooting during this incident.
