Evansville Police are investigating an early morning shooting which left four people injured.

The incident all taking place in the parking lot of a local tavern.

"Whats it going to take? For a bullet to come through my home?" says an anonymous neighbor.

A scary Sunday morning as the Tri-State wrapped up the holiday weekend.

Evansville Police responding to a call on Illinois Street around 2 a.m.

"I just woke up hearing shots, it's just getting really bad," says a neighbor. "I wish they would shut this place down."

Authorities say off-duty officers working security at Sidetrack Tavern were the callers reporting two people shooting at each other.

Unable to engage the two suspects due to the crowd in the parking lot, police say the suspect fled the scene.

Those who live nearby left feeling concern.

"It just needs to stop," says a neighbor. "Somebody is going to get hurt in the neighborhood, an innocent bystander. Children, there's children that live across the street from me."

EPD says a short time later, four victims showed up to an area hospital.

Two had wounds from what police believe to be from fragmentation.

A third victim was shot in the abdominal area and the fourth in the right shoulder.

Police say all victims are expected to be okay.

"I'm not moving, I'm staying right here," says a neighbor.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Evansville Police Department.

Scattered rainfall continues to affect portions of the Tri-State and it seems as though it will continue to do so through the remainder of the evening and overnight. After reaching an afternoon high near 80° earlier on, expect temperatures to gradually fall toward 70° by dinnertime before dwindling into the mid 60s by 10 o'clock. Overnight lows will dive all the way back down into the upper 50s by the predawn hours Wednesday; we'll fall to 58° in Evansville. The cold front and associated low responsible for all of our rain chances both today and tonight is expected to stall stall Wednesday, prolonging our isolated rain chances tomorrow, especcially for those of us north and east of Evasnville.
