Free COVID-19 testing at the C.K. Newsome Center in downtown Evansville has been extended through June 30, 2021, city officials said Wednesday.
OptumServe, which administers testing at the site, will now be providing some BinaxNow rapid tests while continuing PCR testing.
Testing at the site is available to all those that live and work in the Evansville region.
Registration for testing at the site is required. Interested individuals can schedule their test at lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling 888-634-1116.
No medical insurance is necessary, but residents with existing insurance are asked to provide that information during the scheduling process.
The CK Newsome Center is located at 100 Walnut St # 1 in Evansville, Indiana.
