In celebration of a successful decade of concerts, conventions, and sporting events, the Ford Center in Evansville is giving hockey fans free tickets for the Sunday, November 14th, Evansville Thunderbolts hockey game.

Fans will not need a ticket to enter the facility as seating will be general admission, with the lobby doors opening at 2:00 PM, before Evansville's SPHL franchise takes on the Birmingham Bulls at 3:00 PM.

Season ticket and group areas will be marked as reserved that evening.

On Saturday, November 5th, 2011 the $127 million dollars multi-purpose venue hosted its first hockey game between the Evansville Icemen and the Fort Wayne Comets in front of over 9,400 fans.

Eventually, Bob Seger would be the site's first musical act, performing a concert one week later on November 9th, before the University of Evansville Purple Aces took down Butler in overtime, later that weekend in the stadium's first basketball game.

The celebration will continue the following week when the Thunderbolts offer $2.00 hotdogs, and $2.00 beers throughout the first period Friday, November 19th.

Up next for the Thunderbolts: Military Appreciation night happens Friday, November 12th, with $5.00 admission being offered to past or present military members and their families.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
