Free March Madness Masks Available at CK Newsome Center

The NCAA is making 'March Madness' masks available to Hoosiers for free.

Posted: Jan 29, 2021 4:21 PM

The NCAA is donating 100,000 cloth masks around the Hoosier State.

The masks are being made available through a program called "Mask Madness," and Evansville residents who'd like to receive one of the masks can do so nearby.

One of the multiple locations throughout the state where the masks are being made available is the CK Newsome Community Center, which is located at 100 E. Walnut Street.

The CK Newsome Center is open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"We're thankful for our partnership with the NCAA. And Evansville is excited to host the Division II Men's Basketball Elite Eight," Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke said.

The Elite Eight tournament kicks off at the Ford Center on March 21.

While it may be breezy today, the sunshine isn't going to let us down. Most of the cloud cover will exit this morning. Dry and clear skies will be on tap this afternoon. Despite the strong northeasterly flow, highs shouldn't have any problems reaching the mid to upper 60s. We'll reach 66° in the River City.
