Fun Snow Days Could Turn Dangerous Without Proper Precautions

Many area students are taking advantage of their days out of the classroom.

Due to the huge amount of snow in the Tri-State, many area students are taking advantage of their days out of the classroom.

But there need to be some precautions before letting the kids head out to sled and play.

One major concern for parents and their children is playing around roadways, and this is even more true when it comes to sledding.

Back in 2018 16-year old Davis Collier was hit and killed by a vehicle after sliding onto the French Island Trail in Newburgh.

Other concerns during freezing temperatures include frostbite and hypothermia.
