Another fundraising event is being planned to help support a Posey County, Indiana deputy who was shot in the line of duty.

On Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a portion of all proceeds from orders at the Mt. Vernon McDonald's restaurant will be donated to Posey County Sheriff's Office Deputy Bryan Hicks.

As we first reported in September, Deputy Hicks was shot in the line of duty while serving a welfare check at a home in New Harmony.

The last update we received on Deputy Hicks was in October, when his family said he had been moved from the Intensive Care Unity to an inpatient rehabilitation center.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Todd Ringle shared news of the upcoming fundraising event on Tuesday.

You can find the McDonald's restaurant where the fundraiser is being held on Tuesday at 1008 E 4th St. in Mt. Vernon.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
