GRHD Reports 76 New Covid-19 Cases

On Thursday, 76 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Daviess, Henderson, Ohio, Union, and Webster counties.

Monday saw a 76 new Covid-19 cases reported in the seven county Green River Health District.

Daviess and Henderson County were the only counties to see a double-digit increase in cases on Monday with 46 and 15 cases reported, respectively. 

The other five counties reported 15 cases total. 0 in Hancock, 4 in McLean, 4 in Ohio, 4 in Union, and 3 in Webster County.

The past week saw 6 Covid related deaths in the seven county region. There have been 325 Covid related deaths in the district.

The Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Union, and Webster Health Centers all off free Covid testing on every Wednesday of the month, and the Ohio County Health Center offers free testing every Tuesday of the month.

The GRHD continues to vaccinate those in tiers 1A and 1B, which includes health care workers, first responders, daycare workers, and those 70 years of age or older.

The GRHD reports as vaccine quantities and available appointment times allow, people in phase 1C, with an emphasis on those aged 60 and older may also schedule an appointment.

Just another day in paradise. Temperatures surged back into the low 70's for the first time in a week and a half and with southerly winds finally returning to the region, more warmth is on the way for the Tri-State. In fact, this evening looks nothing short of absolutely gorgeous across the area - by dinnertime we'll have fallen back down to 71°, but only as low as 58° by 10PM. So, if you have plans out and about this evening, all you may need will be a sweatshirt. We'll also remain relatively mild early Saturday morning, especially when you compare Saturday morning's anticipated low of 48° to previous mornings earlier in the week. Brrr.
